On Sunday, January 18th, at 3:30 PM, I had the pleasure of attending a Renaissance-themed photo meet held at Castle Falls, located at 820 N. MacArthur Blvd in Oklahoma City. This unique event brought together photographers, models, and creatives who share a love for historical aesthetics, dramatic costuming, and immersive visual storytelling. Set against the stone architecture and old-world atmosphere of Castle Falls, the location proved to be an ideal backdrop for a Renaissance-inspired gathering.
The setting immediately transported everyone into another era. From flowing fabrics and corseted gowns to intricate accessories and textured layers, the models embraced the theme with remarkable attention to detail. Natural light filtered through the grounds, complementing the moody stonework and creating a cinematic environment that felt both timeless and alive. Every corner of the venue offered a new opportunity for storytelling, whether through soft, romantic portraits or bold, dramatic compositions.
I was fortunate to collaborate with several wonderful models throughout the afternoon, each bringing their own personality and interpretation to the Renaissance theme. It was especially great reconnecting with familiar faces like @sun_seeker_97 and @cat.h.marie, whose professionalism, creativity, and comfort in front of the camera made the experience both productive and enjoyable. Working with returning models always adds a level of ease and trust that allows for more expressive and experimental imagery.
The event itself was well-paced and inspiring, offering plenty of time to explore different lighting angles, poses, and compositions. There was a strong sense of community among attendees, with photographers exchanging ideas and models supporting one another between sets. That collaborative energy translated directly into the final images, which capture not just the costumes and location, but the atmosphere of the day itself.
Below, you’ll find a curated selection of images from this Renaissance photo meet that highlight the elegance, drama, and creativity of the afternoon. Each photograph reflects a moment frozen in time, blending historical inspiration with modern photographic style. For those interested in viewing the complete collection, the full set of finished images is available further down the page. This event was a memorable experience, and I’m excited to share the results with you.
